The prize committee said that their work would help ensure that growth was maintained and could be steered in the direction to support humankind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"link-4ccada16\">Who else has won a Nobel Prize this year?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The prize in physiology or medicine went to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/10\/06\/health\/nobel-prize-medicine-physiology.html\">Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell and Shimon Sakaguchi<\/a>\u00a0for their discoveries about immune systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The award for physics was given to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/10\/07\/science\/nobel-prize-physics.html\">John Clarke, Michel Devoret and John Martinis<\/a>\u00a0for their work in quantum mechanics and electric circuits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The prize for chemistry was shared among\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/10\/08\/science\/nobel-prize-chemistry.html\">Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson, and Omar M.
